In Oakridge and Westfir, we are more than just a rural community; we are curators of beauty, custodians of craftsmanship, and storytellers of emotions. Founded with a vision to celebrate the artistry and talent of our local makers who have spent years perfecting our crafts and cultivating a deep appreciation for the intricate details that make each piece a work of art, we wanted to make it easier for visitors to support our local economy by shopping 'local' - from anywhere!
Oakridge Made products are identified by the unique makers hands logo designed by Alissa Mayer. Surrounded by national forest, "above the fog and below the snow," the Oakridge and Westfir area is becoming a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and artists from around the world, living, working and playing alongside folks with generational roots here.
To use the Oakridge Made logo, a product maker must demonstrate that the product is made in the Oakridge/Westfir area, by a local resident, and where possible, using local materials.

At Oakridge Made, we are committed to supporting local makers, artists and entrepreneurs*. To be eligible for membership, individuals must live for at least half of each year in Oakridge, Westfir or the immediate surrounding areas, make the product themselves, and source as many of their materials and ingredients from the local area as possible. Each applicant is vetted on a case-by-case basis in an effort to be as inclusive as possible, while taking into consideration that not everything is available locally (yet)!
*This website and directory is designed to highlight and promote individual products, or individual makers. If you own a brick & mortar local business, or have employees, you would be better served by joining the Oakridge Westfir Chamber of Commerce, and your membership in Oakridge Made may be denied - unless you make ONE unique product that you would like to have featured here. Please reach out via email to chat about it!
Our goal is to highlight the awesomeness of our community, and help as many of our local makers and entrepreneurs as possible to earn MORE money from their craft - so we keep costs as low as possible. Currently, a single-product annual membership is available for the introductory price of $37 - yes, just $3/month to have your products showcased and promoted!!!
For all of us entrepreneurs and sole-proprietor makers and artists, if we are going to make a living from our craft, we need to reach beyond the borders of our small community and find more customers online for our unique products so we can bring outside $$ home to support us and boost our local economy - and this website is a great way to do that.
And when we DO SELL LOCALLY at craft fairs and local events, it helps to let our customers know who the local makers are, vs. the folks from out of town who just booked booth space at our events. There are TONs of customers out there who care about buying from locals when they visit small towns, so they can feel good that their dollar$ are going to supporting local families... Sporting the Oakridge Made logo on your products is an easy and clear way to differentiate ourselves from our competitors, and help our customers make informed choices about where they spend their money.
